On March 8, a source from Anseong Police Station confirmed that they forwarded a case against 3 people in charge in connection with the accident happened during the taping of “Hwayugi” last year.
The accused were Mr. “A” from JS Pictures (Production Company of “Hwayugi”), the art director and the person from set installation- (charges in malpractice of business).
It was last year, December 2017 when a crew member of “Hwayugi” fell from over 3 meters height while he is trying to install a chandelier in the ceiling as per the request of the producer. He was severely injured and became paralyzed from his waist down to his body.
His agency MBC Art filed an official case with the police last January regarding the negligence which results in injury and possible threats or coercion in the workplace.The result of the police’s investigation concluded that the 3 people are responsible in regards to the accident, leading the case to be filed and forwarded to the prosecution.
